Support DAAC Youth Land Use Planning

W3Schools

DAAC Youth Leaders are an important part of the legacy we are creating with the help of many of you who have donated or will donate to support youth engagement. We are currently an all-volunteer organization. We are using these funding requests to keep our youth leaders engaged. We are preparing to engage with planners and other important stakeholders to create a community specific land use plan for our community.

Take Action

The Del Amo Action Committee recognizes the critical nature of restoration and remediation of environmental health hazards not relegated solely to our community, but all of Southern California. We are witnessing the most troubling state of our environment from global scales of climate change, to our precious land, the air we breathe, and the water that sustains us. Rather than ensuring these resources are protected, safe, and sustainable, we see initiatives rooted in business and financial interests over health for our planet and our bodies. The time to take action is always now, and we ask for your support in continuing our efforts through advocacy, outreach, continuing research, and resources to help us bolster a collaborative stakeholder process.

Community Story Map

This April, the Del Amo Action Committee worked with community members and local youth to create an interactive online Story Map which tells the history of the sites and the community through maps, videos, photos and other media.
